Okay, and? Popular capitalism twisting ancient tradition isn't anything new...Valentine's day has largely become 1)mass marketing/economic campaign and 2)an opportunity to make up for neglected affection throughout the year. Does it take national recognition to show your loved one how much you do indeed love them?
